Asphaltene Stabilization in Crude Blends
SI Group’s CERIFLOW™ phenolic resins provide solutions for inhibiting asphaltene flocculation and deposition when incompatible crude oils are mixed. Blending of incompatible crude oils may cause asphaltenes to precipitate resulting in flow assurance or sludging issues. Treating these crude oil blends with either CERIFLOW products can dramatically stabilize asphaltenes.

SI Group recently launched its CERIFLOW™ 4600 series paraffin inhibitor products for use in low-temperature applications. In addition to exceptional performance in cold environments, these products also show promising asphaltene control properties. The simultaneous management of paraffin and asphaltene deposition with single component chemistry is unique and can be particularly valuable in environments where paraffin and asphaltene flow assurance related issues coexist.
